As a Ready Mix Plant Assistant, you'll support the Plant Manager in the day-to-day operation of the facility, help lead employees, coordinate customer orders and dispatch, manage material inventories, and ensure ready mix concrete is produced safely and correctly.
This is a hands-on opportunity to develop your leadership skills while helping keep a busy ready mix operation running safely and efficiently.

- Record daily material usage and monitor current inventories
- Help ensure adequate supplies are available for production
- Batch ready mix concrete properly
- Ensure concrete is loaded properly
- Maintain the care, cleanliness, and condition of company assets at the facility
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Safety is a major part of this position.
You'll:
- Maintain applicable safety reports and logs
- Promote safe work practices throughout the facility
- Communicate, improve, and adhere to company safety policies
- Help maintain a safe work environment for employees and visitors
What We're Looking ForRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills using Google G Suite and Microsoft Office
- Safety-oriented mindset
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and counsel employees
- Willingness to reside within the area of responsibility
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ready mix or concrete industry experience
- Experience with customer orders, scheduling, or dispatch
- Spanish-speaking or bilingual
The strongest candidate will be someone who is ready to move into or grow within a leadership role and isn't afraid to be hands-on.
You should be comfortable working with employees, customers, drivers, and management while balancing production, scheduling, inventory, safety, and day-to-day plant needs.
