We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in Hartford, WI. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys keeping equipment reliable, reducing downtime, and solving problems on the production floor.
What You'll Be Doing
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance instructions.
- Install, modify, and improve manufacturing equipment and related systems.
- Complete and document maintenance work through a computerized maintenance system.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain facility systems including lighting, compressed air, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
- Fabricate or modify equipment components as needed.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and other authorized equipment.
- Support emergency maintenance needs and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to safely troubleshoot industrial electrical systems up to 480 VAC.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in an active manufacturing environment.
- Associate degree or technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with CNC machinery, laser cutting systems, press brakes, overhead cranes, or automated equipment.
- Experience coordinating repairs or equipment installations with contractors.
- Forklift, crane, or scissor-lift experience.
- Automation or programming experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to occasionally travel to a nearby facility.
