Schedule: MondayThursday, 7:00 AM4:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM1:00 PM
Reports To: Packaging Supervisor / Production Management
We are seeking a reliable Sewer / Packaging Associate to support garment finishing and packaging operations in a fast-paced apparel production environment.
The primary responsibility of this position is sewing woven labels and hem tags onto finished garments, removing existing manufacturer labels when needed, and ensuring finished garments meet quality standards. When sewing production is caught up, the employee will assist the Packaging team with general finishing, inspection, and packaging duties.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSew woven labels and hem tags onto garments according to job specifications.
Maintain a production pace of approximately 100150 sewn labels/tags per hour while maintaining quality.
Ensure proper label placement and consistent sewing quality.
Carefully remove existing manufacturer labels without damaging garments.
Trim loose threads and inspect finished garments for defects.
Count, stack, and organize garments accurately.
Follow work orders and job-specific instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized sewing/work area.

Assist with packaging and finishing duties as production needs require, including:
Folding and packing garments.
Counting and verifying quantities.
Bagging and poly-bagging garments.
Applying hang tags, size stickers, and other finishing items.
Performing garment inspections and quality checks.
Preparing completed orders for shipment.
Previous sewing experience required.
Industrial or production sewing experience strongly preferred.
Experience sewing apparel, woven labels, hem tags, or similar items preferred.
Ability to work toward a 100150 pieces-per-hour production pace while maintaining quality.
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Comfortable performing repetitive production tasks.
Ability to accurately count and organize garments.
Dependable and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Apparel decoration, garment finishing, packaging, or manufacturing experience is a plus.
Fast-paced apparel production and manufacturing environment.
Production areas may be warm and noisy during periods of high production.
Position may alternate between seated sewing and standing packaging/finishing work.
Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements.
Regular handling and organization of large quantities of garments.
Ability to lift and move boxes of apparel as needed.
Must be comfortable working in a production-focused environment where quality, accuracy, and productivity are important.
