General Laborer

Pay: $18/hr (open to entry level)

Shift: 7am-4pm (Mon-Fri-dayshift)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, cut sheets, and measurements to plan and execute cutting tasks accurately.
• Measure, mark, and verify materials before cutting to ensure precision and correct dimensions.
• Adjust saw settings, including speed, feed, and blade tension, based on material size and type to optimize performance and quality.
• Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including routine checks and blade changes, to keep equipment in safe working condition.
• Safely load and unload materials using forklifts, cranes, or hoists as needed, following all safety procedures.
• Support general labor tasks such as loading, packing, sweeping, cleaning, and basic production and construction-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards and removing debris or hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support cross-training in other departments when needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math, including working with fractions and decimals.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in measuring, marking, and cutting materials.
• Capability to read and interpret work orders, cut sheets, and measurement instructions.
• Experience with general labor tasks such as loading, packing, sweeping, cleaning, and basic production work.
• Ability to work safely around heavy materials and machinery, following established safety procedures.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, landscape maintenance, construction, production, loading, and packing is beneficial.
• Willingness to cross-train in other departments to support broader operations.
• Comfort working with hand tools, measuring tools, and industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills and processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairless Hills, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
