Job Description
The Facilities Technician plays a key role in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting buildings, equipment, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. This role performs or coordinates skilled trades work such as carpentry and painting for the construction, repair, or alteration of structures including walls, roofs, and office fixtures. The technician ensures that restrooms, breakrooms, offices, common areas, and exterior grounds remain clean, safe, and presentable. Typical tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, restocking supplies, and performing minor maintenance such as plunging toilets, tightening fixtures, changing sensor batteries, and replacing light bulbs. The technician also supports daily work orders by assembling furniture, installing TVs, hanging pictures and whiteboards, and conducting minor repairs across the campus, while regularly inspecting the premises to identify and report maintenance needs.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse and campus facilities environment that includes offices, restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and outdoor grounds. The position requires the ability to stand and walk throughout the warehouse and facility for extended periods. You will regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting. Work conditions include exposure to extreme temperatures, ranging from very cool to very warm areas, depending on location and task. Overtime may be required based on business needs. The role involves use of hand tools, material handling equipment, and, once certified, potential operation of forklifts and scissor lifts. Adherence to warehouse safety protocols and safety regulations is essential. A safety vest and steel-toe shoes are required attire at all times while on the warehouse floor or in designated work areas.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
