Pay Rate: $18.00/hr + $2.00/hr 2nd Shift Differential = $20.00/hr on W2
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:15PM - 1:45AM Monday - Friday
Job Summary
The Storekeeper / Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, picking, and transporting materials needed for manufacturing operations. This role supports accurate inventory control, safe material handling, and timely delivery of materials to production while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations according to inventory procedures.
- Pick, stage, and issue materials, components, and finished goods based on production requirements.
- Operate forklifts, sideloaders, stackers, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks while preventing damage to materials.
- Transport materials between warehouse, production, and shipping areas.
- Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment following 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving activities as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and logistics operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in warehouse, storekeeping, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, sideloaders, stackers, and other material-handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, material requests, and inventory records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
