Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)
Pay Rate: Starting at $69.46/hour


Your Mission

As a Systems Engineer, you'll join a highly motivated Space and Launch Engineering team developing advanced RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems. Working alongside customers, suppliers, integration teams, and technical experts, you'll help turn innovative concepts into real-world solutions that enable critical communications around the globe and beyond.

From concept studies and system definition to unit development and testing, you'll play a key role throughout the engineering lifecycle.


What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop next-generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems
  • Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing (DSP) architectures
  • Define, allocate, and verify system requirements and interfaces for communication payloads
  • Create and analyze communication performance and link budgets
  • Perform signal processing model analysis and validation
  • Support engineering trade studies to improve system performance, cost, and schedule
  • Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds
  • Support unit-level integration activities and performance simulations
  • Assist with ASIC and FPGA system design and verification efforts
  • Participate in hardware procurement, design reviews, and final unit sell-offs
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges

Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in:
    • Engineering
    • Engineering Technology
    • Computer Science
    • Mathematics
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Data Science
Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in signal processing or image processing
  • 5+ years of experience in electronic systems engineering
Security RequirementsThis position requires a security clearance, and candidates are required to be U.S. Citizens. -

Preferred Qualifications

We're especially interested in candidates with:

  • Master's degree focused on Signal Processing, Communications, or Algorithm Development
  • Experience developing algorithms for implementation on ASICs or FPGAs
  • Academic or professional experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Experience with Simulink, Python, C++, or similar engineering tools
  • Experience contributing to or leading collaborative engineering projects
  • Knowledge of system verification planning and verification methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply theory to real-world engineering challenges
  • 9+ years of related engineering experience
Typical Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related experience, or
  • Master's degree with 7+ years of related experience, or
  • PhD with 4+ years of related experience

Pay Details: $69.46 per hour
