Job Description

This role combines order pulling and operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment. You will accurately pick and prepare orders, move materials using powered equipment, and support general warehouse operations on a third-shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners and related warehouse systems.
  • Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move, load, and unload products and materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Use pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment to transport pallets and products as needed.
  • Perform picking and packing tasks to ensure orders are complete, properly labeled, and ready for shipment.
  • Support general labor activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling of products as part of daily tasks.
  • Assist with basic inventory-related activities such as locating products, restocking, and maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and comply with strict no cell phone policies inside the facility.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support efficient warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Proficiency with order pulling and picking processes in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to use RF scanners to locate, pick, and track inventory.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding labor throughout the shift.
  • Experience using pallet jacks and other basic material-handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Willingness and ability to work a third-shift schedule.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory support or warehouse inventory control is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in packing and general labor within a warehouse environment is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a role that is approximately 50% forklift operation and 50% order pulling and physical labor.

Work Environment

This is a third-shift role with hours on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. You work in a warehouse setting that involves frequent use of sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other standard material-handling tools. The position is physically demanding, with significant heavy lifting and manual labor. The facility enforces a strict no cell phone policy inside the building to maintain safety and focus during operations. Attire should be appropriate for an active warehouse environment and suitable for operating equipment and performing physical tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
