Parts Customer Service Rep
Job Description
We are looking for a Parts Customer Service Representative to join a service-focused team in New Jersey. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is well suited for someone who communicates confidently, handles a steady flow of customer interactions, and enjoys learning the details of a specialized product line. The position supports customers by phone and in person while helping with order-related tasks and general parts support in a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person regarding truck parts, pricing, and availability.
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Assist customers in identifying the correct parts for their equipment and vehicles.
Generate quotes and provide product recommendations.
Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Track and resolve customer issues, returns, and warranty claims as needed.
Maintain accurate customer and order records within the company system.
Follow up with customers regarding order status and outstanding requests.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and service.
Previous customer service, inside sales, parts counter, or order processing experience preferred.
Experience in the trucking, automotive, heavy equipment, diesel, or transportation industry is a plus.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based order entry systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
