We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist to support daily front desk operations for a healthcare organization. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a positive first impression, managing a busy reception area, and providing dependable administrative support. The right candidate will be comfortable handling visitors, phone communication, and routine office coordination while maintaining an organized environment.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome guests, staff members, vendors, and applicants, then guide them to the appropriate person or department within the facility.
• Manage visitor registration and ensure all check-in and security steps are completed accurately and consistently.
• Answer and route incoming calls through a multi-line phone system while maintaining courteous and efficient communication.
• Support the team with administrative assignments and assist with additional clerical tasks during high-volume periods.
• Receive packages or deliveries, acknowledge receipt when needed, and promptly alert the intended recipients.
• Maintain continuous front desk coverage and keep the reception area neat, organized, and ready for visitors at all times.
• Prepare contract identification badges in accordance with established workplace and security standards.
• Keep leadership informed of daily activity, emerging concerns, and operational issues, and share practical recommendations when challenges arise.
• Follow workplace safety expectations, front office procedures, and company policies, including flexibility for overtime or other assigned duties as needed.• Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone or switchboard system and manage inbound calls effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with visitors, employees, and external contacts.
• Comfortable handling multiple priorities at once while staying organized and attentive to detail.
• Basic administrative skills, including data entry, message handling, and general office support.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to keep the front desk staffed during scheduled hours.
• Willingness to follow security procedures, workplace policies, and established office standards.
