Job Description
i9 Sports Union County is looking for energetic, dependable and positive Flag Football Coaches to join our team. This is a great opportunity for college students, teachers, former athletes, current coaches, and anyone who enjoys working with kids and wants a rewarding weekend job with only a 7 week commitment.
Position: Flag Football Coach
Pay: $19 - $20 per hour
Schedule: Sundays, 6 hours per week
Season: (7) weeks beginning September 13th
What you’ll do:
- Lead flag football practices, games, drills, and skill-building activities
- Teach basic football fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play
- Ensure a safe, fun, and organized environment for all participants
- Communicate clearly with players, parents, and program staff
- Help set up and clean up equipment before and after sessions
- Encourage player development, confidence, and participation
What we’re looking for:
- Enjoys working with children and helping them develop
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Positive, energetic and comfortable leading groups
- Available for the full 7-week Sunday season
- Ability to pass any required background check
Coaching experience is preferred, but not required. Training and support are provided. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

i9 Sports, a national provider of youth sports leagues for boys and girls, is hiring Sports Instructors for 2026. We operate our programs year round in Cranford, Roselle & Garwood. The coaches will assist the Program Director and will be responsible for teaching multiple groups, providing customer service, and representing the i9 Sports brand in a positive manner.
