Experienced Automotive Technician

Geneva Auto Sales is expanding our operation with a brand-new automotive repair facility and is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team.

This is not a typical repair shop environment.

We specialize in repairing newer, low-mileage cars and SUVs, primarily vehicles with minor insurance-claim damage. Because we focus on a limited number of vehicle models, our technicians have the opportunity to become highly efficient and knowledgeable instead of constantly working on old, rusty, neglected vehicles where every repair creates another problem.

Our new facility was designed to provide the type of work environment experienced technicians want to stay in. It features air conditioning, excellent lighting, in-ground lifts, a clean and organized workspace, new equipment, and continued investment in modern automotive technology.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced technician with strong mechanical ability who can diagnose problems, complete repairs efficiently, and become a dependable long-term member of our team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant professional automotive repair experience
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, suspension, and drivability issues
• A solid understanding of newer cars and SUVs
• The ability to learn advanced diagnostic procedures and retain new information
• A dependable work history and strong attendance
• The ability to work independently and solve problems
• Dealership or OEM service experience is a strong plus

You do not need to know everything on day one. For the right experienced technician, we are willing to provide additional training on the specific vehicles, systems, and diagnostic work we handle. We're more interested in finding someone with the right mechanical foundation, problem-solving ability, and desire to continue learning.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, and drivability concerns
• Perform mechanical repairs on newer, low-mileage vehicles
• Troubleshoot difficult problems and determine appropriate repairs
• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical issues before they are offered for sale
• Install or replace mechanical components as needed
• Assist with occasional installation of body panels, bumpers, and related components
• Work with our production team to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the repair process
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional work area
