Concrete & Excavation General Superintendent

We are an established commercial concrete and excavation contractor looking for an experienced General Superintendent / Senior Concrete Foreman who can take ownership of approximately $2 million or more in annual concrete and excavation work.

This is not a position for someone who only wants to run one crew. We need a leader who can manage multiple projects, organize manpower and equipment, drive production, and make sure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and profitably.

Responsibilities

%CF; Manage multiple commercial concrete and excavation projects simultaneously
%CF; Direct foremen, operators, laborers, finishers, carpenters, and field crews
%CF; Schedule manpower, equipment, trucking, materials, and concrete pours
%CF; Coordinate excavation, grading, foundations, walls, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and site concrete
%CF; Read and understand plans, specifications, elevations, and project schedules
%CF; Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, suppliers, and subcontractors
%CF; Track labor hours and field production against project budgets
%CF; Identify problems early and keep projects moving
%CF; Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and jobsite organization
%CF; Hold crews accountable for production and quality
%CF; Help develop foremen and strengthen field operations

Qualifications

%CF; 10+ years of commercial concrete and/or excavation experience preferred
%CF; Proven experience managing multiple crews and projects
%CF; Experience responsible for approximately $2M+ of annual construction work
%CF; Strong knowledge of commercial concrete construction
%CF; Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and site work
%CF; Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
%CF; Strong leadership and communication skills
%CF; Understands labor productivity, job costs, scheduling, and profitability
%CF; Valid driver’s license
%CF; Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
