About the Facility
Join a large, well-established regional healthcare system serving the Quad Cities and surrounding communities. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center with a high-acuity patient population and a collaborative interdisciplinary environment. The PCU/Stepdown team provides care for complex patients requiring close monitoring, advanced cardiac care, and specialized nursing interventions.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care to complex PCU/stepdown patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Manage cardiac drips, medication titration, drains, central lines, and other advanced therapies.
- Monitor and care for patients with chest tubes, trachs, femstops, CBIs, and other specialized needs.
- Float to other local campuses within the same discipline when required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience – Required
- At least 1 completed travel contract – Preferred
- 48-hour weekly commitment
- IL RN license in hand or compact license
- IA license must be applied for at time of offer
- BLS & ACLS – AHA Required
- Must have experience with:
- Chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs
- Drains and central lines
- Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin
- Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban
- Some titration experience
