Mission-Focused Technical Training Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Trainer / Mission Operations Trainer to support a sophisticated communications and mission systems environment in Palm Bay, Florida.

This is an excellent opportunity for a military, intelligence, government, defense, or technical training professional who enjoys working hands-on with complex hardware and software systems—and then teaching others how to operate those systems successfully.

The ideal candidate can quickly learn complex technology, troubleshoot problems under pressure, configure and integrate equipment, and translate highly technical information into practical, easy-to-understand training.

An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is mandatory, and candidates must currently be using the clearance.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Base Salary: $76,500–$142,500 annually
  • Full-time, permanent opportunity
  • Full benefits package
  • 9/80 schedule — work 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off
  • Relocation assistance may be available for the ideal candidate
  • Occasional travel may be required

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, configure, test, and document complex hardware and software systems.
  • Install and load custom and commercial software across multiple platforms.
  • Configure and integrate new and existing hardware packages.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, communications, and system integration issues.
  • Develop and deliver instructor-led classroom and hands-on technical training.
  • Train end users on mission-critical equipment, software, and operating procedures.
  • Adapt training methods based on the technical experience and needs of the audience.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, procedures, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to understand system modifications and upgrades.
  • Incorporate new capabilities and operational feedback into training programs.
  • Support daily training-system operations and maintain system readiness.
  • Lead training courses from initial preparation through successful completion.
  • Interact directly with customers, technical personnel, program leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Travel occasionally to support training, integration, and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Clearance must be active and currently in use.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Graduate degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience working with complex technical hardware and/or software systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to audiences with different levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned systems and training responsibilities.
  • U.S. work authorization required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with U.S. military, intelligence community, Department of Defense, government contracting, mission operations, communications systems, or technical training experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Military instructor or technical training experience
  • U.S. Military Training Certifications
  • Train-the-Trainer certification
  • Mission operations or mission systems experience
  • Communications systems experience
  • Hardware/software integration
  • System verification and validation
  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Operational readiness or mission-readiness responsibilities
  • Experience developing SOPs and technical training materials
  • Experience briefing military leadership, government customers, engineers, or program managers
  • Experience leading small multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
