Automotive Service Writer / Office Manager

We're looking for much more than a traditional Service Writer.
We're searching for an experienced, highly organized, customer-focused professional who can become the operational backbone of our front office. This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys taking initiative, solving problems before they happen, and helping a business become more efficient every day.
This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone who already has a strong background in automotive service advising and understands the day-to-day operations of a busy repair facility. The ideal candidate should be able to step into the position with confidence, requiring minimal training while bringing valuable experience, sound judgment, and a professional approach to every customer interaction.
The right person will serve as the face of LSC Mechanical, creating an outstanding customer experience while keeping our daily operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with our technicians, management, vendors, and customers to ensure every repair is communicated clearly, every customer feels valued, and the shop operates efficiently.

Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Writer, Service Advisor, or similar leadership role within an automotive repair facility is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures, diagnostics, maintenance services, and industry terminology.
- Ability to confidently write repair orders, build estimates, explain repairs, and communicate effectively with both customers and technicians.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with shop management software and computer systems.
- Professional phone etiquette and conflict-resolution skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of daily operations.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.
