Metal Fabricator
Job Description
Our company needs a fabrication specialist. Must be comfortable with CAD software, and it’s use in the design of special projects for our customers. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in all types of welding, stick, MIG, TIG, and possibly laser welding. Fabrication in our shop uses a 90 ton brake / press, a 10 foot metal shear, an industrial band saw, and a small metal shop with lathe, a mill, and other various pieces of equipment used in a fabrication shop. The right applicant should have management skills for interaction between, customers, other employees, and company management.
Our company goes into factories for repair services, moving equipment, relocating equipment, establishment and modification of production lines, and most any service required by our manufacturing customers. We often work with third party vendors to enhance our service capabilities. Interaction with these third party vendors may be required in order to complete a job in a satisfactory manner for our customers. This job is both a challenge and a gratifying experience. The person hired for this need should expect to spend most of their time in our fabrication shop. However, on many occasions this person will be expected to work along side our other employees at the factory location where the newly fabricated equipment must be installed. There may be other times and reasons for this person to work along side our outside employees. It is simple, the needs of our customers come first.
