Head Chef

Catering Cooks plan, prep, cook and deliver high quality food.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Catering Cooks must have a basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation, knife handling skills, reading and math skills, and kitchen equipment; ability to measure ingredients accurately, and understand and carry out directions. We are a team and jump in to help when others are behind. Communication is key.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and serve safe following Health Department protocols.

Washing utensils and dishes making sure they are stored appropriately.

Working in the kitchen area preparing all of the food.

Sorting and packaging to go orders and caterings.

Disposal of all refuse appropriately and recycling properly and where possible.

Cleaning the food prep equipment and all surfaces as well as all kitchen tools and areas.

Responsible for the preparation and packaging of catering orders.

Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Available and willing to work evenings, special events, weekends/school holiday breaks and other shifts as needed.

Punctual and dependable. Ability to follow instruction from the Executive Chef and Kitchen manager, and complete tasks in a timely, efficient manner as assigned.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 75 pounds required. Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, or kneel, and to move freely throughout the workplace on a continual basis required.

A minimum education level of high school diploma preferred. Customer service within the food service industry experience preferred. Must be organized, dependable, flexible and reliable.

Experience: Food handling: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification: Food Handler Certification required.

Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
