Pre-K Counts Lead Teacher

Educational Requirements for Pre-K Counts Teacher:

• Have a minimum of BA/BS in Early Childhood Education.
• Must have a Pennsylvania Department of Education Instructional Certification for Early Childhood Education.
• At least 1 year of experience teaching in an educational setting.
• Job Type: Full-time (10-month position) Summer off with paid.
• Pay: $23 - $25 per hour (depending on experience)

Essential Responsibilities and Standards of Performance

• Use understanding of child development as the foundation of work with young children.
• Effective pedagogical approaches include developmentally appropriate practices along with the use of curricula and PA early learning standards to create meaningful learning experiences for children.
• Support the mission and philosophy of the program
• Develop and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with families.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Conduct yourself as a member of the early childhood profession.
• Support center staff and leadership in maintaining high-quality standards and achieving enrollment goals.
• Familiar with TSG / Creative Curriculum.
• Be familiar with Keystone STARS standards, DHS regulations, PA Early Learning Standards, and Creative Curriculum.
• Responsible for classroom management and supervision of children at all times.
• Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
