Director of Patient Services - Home Infusions- RN

Our client, an established licensed homecare service agency with over 25 years of experience in providing high-quality home infusion services, is hiring a Director of Patient Services, RN. This critical leadership position ensures the delivery of safe, compliant, and exceptional patient care within the home infusion environment. Lead the clinical operations of home infusion nursing services across multiple locations, overseeing a team of 25-40 Registered Nurses (RNs) providing specialty infusion therapies throughout the NY region. Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and foster clinical excellence. The Director will also support staff development, facilitate quality improvement initiatives, and serve as the primary resource for complex infusion cases.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise orientation, training, and ongoing competency validation of nursing staff.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations, including NYS licensing standards.
• Oversee implementation of physician-ordered infusion care plans and manage vascular access devices.
• Ensure adequate staffing models based on patient census, geographic considerations, and acuity levels.
• Conduct routine clinical audits to ensure documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI/CQI) initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy, referral sources, and intake teams for seamless patient care coordination.
• Provide expert guidance on complex infusion therapies and troubleshooting.
• Build strong relationships with patients, families, and referral partners to promote continuity and quality of care.

Requirements:

• Active NYS RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in home infusion, specialty infusion, or home health.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of infusion therapy, vascular access devices, and patient education.
• Understanding of NYS licensing requirements for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSA).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to oversee multiple locations with split on-site and dual-site administrative responsibilities.
• Previous HC and infusion experience, with leadership capabilities, is essential.
• On-site 5 days p/w split week between 2 office locations in NYC & Westchester.
