Taekwondo Instructor

The Taekwondo Instructor will lead group classes and assist in delivering engaging and structured martial arts training focused primarily on children's development. This role emphasizes self-defense, discipline, focus, and self-confidence building using the WTF Curriculum at a Kukkiwon branch. The instructor will collaborate with assistant instructors and report directly to the head instructor, ensuring a safe and motivating environment for all students with minimal travel required for events or competitions.

Responsibilities

• Teach taekwondo techniques following the WTF Curriculum
• Plan and structure age-appropriate group classes focused on children
• Assess student progress and skill development regularly
• Supervise class safety and enforce discipline consistently
• Motivate students to improve focus, self-confidence, and self-defense skills
• Maintain training equipment and classroom environment
• Collaborate effectively with assistant instructors and relay updates to head instructor
• Ensure lessons are engaging and tailored to young learners

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of martial arts instruction experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Kukkiwon Black Belt 2nd Dan or higher
• Strong knowledge of taekwondo techniques and WTF Curriculum
• Experience with martial arts training and classroom management
• Effective communication and motivational skills
• Safety management expertise
• Experience teaching kids-focused classes
