Job Description
Mago Construction Company is a family-owned asphalt paving contractor based out of Bardstown, KY with asphalt plants, two rock quarries, and construction operations throughout the state of Kentucky.
Our trucking divisions, Bardstown Asphalt Company and Tapco, Inc., are seeking dependable, safety-focused Tri-Axle Dump Truck Drivers to join our growing team. These are long-standing, well-established companies that take pride in providing stable employment, well-maintained equipment, and a strong commitment to safety.
Our triaxle dump trucks may haul hot mix asphalt to road construction sites, as well as rock, sand, dirt, or recycled asphalt materials as needed. Trucks run inside the state of Kentucky only; no out-of-state driving.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a tri-axle dump truck to transport hot mix asphalt, rock, sand, dirt, recycled asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Deliver materials to construction sites throughout Kentucky.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate DOT logs and required paperwork.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- Valid Class B or Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no license restrictions that would prevent the safe operation of the vehicle.
- Previous commercial truck driving experience required.
- Safe driving record.
- Responsible for supplying your own CB Radio for your truck.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as business needs require.
