Home and Auto Sales Agent

We're a small, local, friendly, family property and casualty insurance agency that has trusted national brand support and we're looking for a highly motivated individual to increase our sales as we grow.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Sell insurance policies: auto, home, life, renters, pet, boat, flood, umbrella, rental property, personal articles/jewelry, etc.
• Cross selling other insurance products to customers
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Marketing to agency professional contacts
• Building relationships in networking groups, chambers of commerce, apartment complex management groups, realtors and brokers, etc.
• Taking responsibility to meet office sales and customer service goals
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, reports, bookkeeping, databases, etc.

Skills needed:

• Ability to sell policies and manage sales leads is most important
• Ability to multitask is absolutely a must
• Highly organized – especially with electronic files/documents
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to complete tasks on schedule – individually and as part of a team
• Communication skills – both with team members and clients
• Work unsupervised
• Intuitive thinker
• Responsible/Accountable
• Spanish language skills a plus

Job Schedule:

• Full-time
• 8:30 AM -5 PM, Monday-Friday
• In office near Valrico, FL 33596

Compensation:

• Typical annual earnings for Producers range from $50,000-$80,000. Compensation is uncapped so top performers have the potential to earn more.
• Base salary pay
• Commission pay
• Bonus pay

Experience and education requirements:

• Must have completed high school or GED
• Must have 2+ years insurance sales experience
• Supervisory experience ideal
• Veterans and military experience candidates, applicants with gaps in resume, and all others encouraged to apply

Licenses/Certifications:

• Must have a Florida 2-20, 4-40 or 20-44 insurance sales license
