Position Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a growing accounting team. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, resolving account discrepancies, and building positive relationships with customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable communicating with customers regarding billing and payment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Process customer payments including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card transactions.
- Reconcile customer accounts and research discrepancies or payment issues.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, balances, and payment status.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve billing disputes, account adjustments, and payment concerns.
- Maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems.
- Prepare accounts receivable reports and provide updates to management.
- Assist with month-end close activities and financial audits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and industry regulations.
- Support additional accounting projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Great Plains, or similar systems.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
