Pharmacy Technician

Lexington Prescription Center is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our independent community pharmacy team. We are looking for a licensed technician with at least 2 years of pharmacy experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
• Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system
• Process insurance claims and assist with billing issues
• Answer phone calls and assist customers with prescription questions and refill requests
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Operate cash register and process customer transactions
• Assist with inventory management, stocking, and expiration date checks
• Prepare prescriptions for pickup or delivery
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
• Communicate professionally with customers, providers, and insurance companies
• Follow all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license/registration required
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Some Saturday hours are required
