We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain production stamping dies, tooling, and related equipment in a factory environment. This hands-on role requires strong blueprint-reading, machining, measurement, die-troubleshooting, and safety skills, including lockout/tagout procedures.


How You'll Contribute

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production dies, tools, and related components.
  • Operate toolroom machinery, precision tools, and hand tools to build or repair parts.
  • Lay out, fit, and assemble parts for cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other tooling.
  • Read blueprints to determine required machining, layouts, and repair processes.
  • Troubleshoot stamping dies, including blanking, forming, and drawing dies, both in the press and in the toolroom.
  • Perform in-press die, sensor, and tooling adjustments, troubleshooting, and changes.
  • Repair and install die sensors and safety devices.
  • Disassemble dies as needed to repair, sharpen, inspect clearances, and strengthen die attributes.
  • Use precision and non-precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions, clearances, alignments, and quality.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures when responding to press calls.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts, production supervisors, team leads, and production associates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform all work with attention to safety and quality standards.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by the Toolroom Supervisor and management.


What Makes You a Great Fit

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Preferably 5 to 10 years of tool and die experience.
  • Experience operating lathes, mills, grinders, and other toolroom machinery required.
  • Working knowledge of metal stamping dies and tooling, including blanking, forming, and drawing dies.
  • Ability to understand die timing, pad travel, stripper and binder pad travel, pressures, and timing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of mathematics as it relates to metal stamping dies and tooling.
  • Ability to use precision and non-precision measuring instruments and tools.
  • Must provide personal measurement and hand tools needed to perform job duties.
  • TIG welding experience in a toolroom environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing across shifts and production teams.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, stretch, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • Normal vision, hearing, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity required.
  • Must wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses while performing work.
