Position Details
- Position: Crate Assembly Associate / Door Packaging
- Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Overtime: Required as needed
- Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour
- Pay Schedule: Weekly
Responsibilities
- Lift and move finished doors with the support of team members.
- Build custom crates, pallets, and shipping containers for finished products.
- Operate hand and power tools daily, including table saws, circular saws, nail guns, and other shop equipment.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials according to packaging requirements.
- Package doors using protective materials, tape, and binding methods to ensure safe shipment.
- Secure and prepare products for transportation.
- Inspect completed crates and packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with material handling and movement of products throughout the facility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience using power tools such as table saws, circular saws, nail guns, and related equipment.
- Previous experience in crating, pallet building, packaging, material handling, woodworking, construction, assembly, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to safely lift and handle heavy doors weighing up to 150 lbs with team assistance.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting 75-100 lbs regularly.
- Ability to accurately read measurements and use a tape measure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with wood materials.
- Flexibility to work overtime and additional hours when needed.
- Reliable attendance and transportation.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Steel-toed boots required.
