Gillmann Services is hiring Commercial Construction Estimators in Columbus, Ohio.

We are looking for experienced estimators with 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience who can read plans, perform takeoffs, price projects, and prepare competitive bids.

$115,000–$135,000 per year, based on experience.

What You Will Do

• Read and review construction drawings, plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and estimate project costs.
• Develop complete and competitive project estimates.
• Contact subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing.
• Review subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
• Compare bids and identify the best pricing and value.
• Prepare bid packages and proposal documents.
• Prepare clarifications, alternates, and qualifications.
• Work with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Make sure estimates are accurate and submitted on time.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience or related experience.
• Strong ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and construction pricing.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
