About the Role
A growing construction and hardware supply company is seeking a hands-on Head of Business to lead day-to-day operations, strengthen internal processes, and help grow its B2B sales with building maintenance companies and commercial customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a business-minded operations leader who wants to play a significant role in managing and growing an established company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily business operations and a team of approximately 20 employees.
- Develop and implement efficient operating processes and systems.
- Manage and grow B2B sales and customer relationships.
- Develop new business with contractors, building maintenance companies, and commercial accounts.
- Improve purchasing, inventory, order fulfillment, delivery, and customer service processes.
- Establish accountability, KPIs, and performance standards across the organization.
- Work closely with ownership on business development and growth initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of management experience in construction supplies, hardware, building materials, distribution, wholesale, or a related B2B environment.
- Proven B2B sales and business development experience.
- Strong operations and process-management skills.
- Experience managing people and cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach with the ability to both develop strategy and execute it.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
