Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
Job Description
Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)
Feeling Moody LLC | Chesapeake, VA | Hybrid (Remote/In-Person Options Available)
Full-Time | Minimum 20 billable client hours/week
Love being a therapist, but not all the business stuff that comes with private practice?
At Feeling Moody, you focus on your clients while we focus on building the practice around you. We're a growing mental health and wellness practice, and we're definitely not trying to build another stuffy, generic therapy practice.
Why Feeling Moody?
We provide:
- Client referrals and marketing
- Billing and administrative support
- Credentialing support
- Established practice systems and technology
- Flexible, hybrid scheduling (remote, in-person, or both)
- W-2 employee status. We handle payroll taxes, and you get employment stability with the independence of a niche caseload
- Competitive compensation with a tenure-based growth structure. Your pay grows as you grow with us
- PTO and real work-life balance
- EMDR training and consultation support as you build your niche
- Room to grow as Feeling Moody expands into additional mental health and wellness services
You get the independence clinicians love about private practice without having to build one yourself.
Who We're Looking For
You must hold an active Virginia LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license and be able to practice independently. Newer to licensure? We're open to training and mentoring the right person. What matters most to us is fit, coachability, and heart for the work, not years on a resume.
We're especially interested in clinicians who enjoy working with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, women's mental health, young adults, neurodiversity, and culturally diverse populations.
EMDR or other trauma-focused training is a plus, but not required. We'll help you build it.
More than anything, we're looking for clinicians who are excellent at what they do, dependable, authentic, open to growth, and genuinely care about the client experience.
Who We Are
Our mission is to promote a healthy, informed community where people can heal from trauma, live authentically, navigate life's transitions, and thrive.
Our vision: Initiate Awareness. Inspire Healthy Living. Invent Innovative & Fun Ways to Heal.
Our values aren't words on a website. They shape how we build the company:
Authenticity. Show up as yourself.
Refreshingly Fun. The work can be serious without everything feeling heavy.
Innovative. Stay curious and find better ways to help people heal.
Excellence. Provide exceptional care and take pride in your work.
Healthy Lifestyle. Great therapists deserve healthy lives and boundaries, too.
Performance Over Panic. Communicate, problem-solve, and focus on solutions.
What You'll Do
- Provide individual psychotherapy to your caseload (in-person, remote, or hybrid)
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (case notes, ISPs, discharge plans)
- Collaborate with a dynamic, supportive team of clinicians
- Attend team meetings and engage in ongoing professional development
- Build expertise in the populations and clinical areas you're passionate about
Ready to Meet Us?
Send your resume and tell us one thing: Why Feeling Moody? Tell us what caught your attention about our practice, mission, or values, and what kind of clinical work you love doing.
We're not just filling a spot on a provider roster. We're looking for the right therapist to grow with us.
Here’s Our Mission
We want to promote a healthy, informed community where people can heal from their traumas, be authentic, and thrive in transitions.
We want to heal our community and the world one person at a time. We believe if we focus our efforts on helping individuals overcome their trauma, we will ultimately change and alter the state of our society, creating a happier, healthier world for generations.
Come to therapy feeling relief, knowing you can be yourself and bring all your emotions to a safe, nonjudgmental space with new and exciting techniques.
