Job Description

Job Description
Commercial Landscape Account Manager
U.S. Lawns – Grand Prairie, Texas
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Base Salary: $60,000–$75,000, based on experience, plus aggressive commission

Build relationships. Improve properties. Grow accounts.

U.S. Lawns is seeking an organized, proactive, and dependable Commercial Landscape Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial properties throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

This is a field-based, client-facing leadership position. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned clients, regularly inspect their properties, resolve service concerns, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure our work consistently meets expectations.

You will work closely with our Operations Manager, Crew Leaders, and other Account Managers while maintaining clear ownership of your clients and properties.

You May Be a Great Fit If…

  • You notice details others overlook and take pride in well-maintained properties.
  • You build trust by communicating clearly, following through, and doing what you say you will do.
  • You are comfortable meeting with property managers and addressing concerns professionally.
  • You can identify a problem, develop a practical solution, and take ownership of getting it resolved.
  • You enjoy spending much of your day in the field rather than sitting behind a desk.
  • You can manage inspections, proposals, client requests, and follow-ups without being constantly reminded.
  • You are comfortable balancing customer service with the responsibility to grow your accounts.
  • You work well within established systems and believe documentation and accountability matter.
  • You are willing to pitch in when appropriate while understanding that your primary responsibility is managing clients and properties.
What You Will Own

Client Relationships

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for an assigned portfolio of commercial landscape clients.
  • Conduct regular property walks, client meetings, and service follow-ups.
  • Communicate proactively instead of waiting for clients to report problems.
  • Respond to client questions, requests, and routine concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Identify at-risk relationships and work with leadership to develop corrective action plans.
  • Build long-term relationships that support client satisfaction and retention.
Property Quality

  • Routinely inspect properties for workmanship, appearance, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Complete required site audits, including photographs, findings, and follow-up items.
  • Communicate property-specific expectations directly to Crew Leaders.
  • Verify that identified deficiencies are corrected and properly documented.
  • Help crews understand each client’s priorities and the standards expected at each property.
Enhancements and Account Growth

  • Identify opportunities for landscape improvements, seasonal color, irrigation repairs, tree work, drainage solutions, and other enhancement services.
  • Develop accurate scopes of work, pricing, recommendations, and client proposals.
  • Present proposed improvements clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up on pending and submitted proposals.
  • Coordinate approved work with the Operations Manager and confirm the completed result meets the agreed scope.
  • Work toward established proposal and closed-enhancement goals.
Issue Resolution and Coordination

  • Take ownership of routine client and property issues through completion.
  • Work collaboratively with other Account Managers and Crew Leaders to develop practical solutions.
  • Escalate significant client risks, scheduling changes, budget concerns, and cross-department issues to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with new property start-ups by documenting expectations and communicating the scope to the production team.
  • Maintain clear communication between clients, field teams, and branch leadership.
Documentation and Accountability

  • Maintain accurate client notes, site audits, photographs, proposals, and follow-up activities in the company CRM.
  • Keep proposal and property-action trackers current.
  • Participate in weekly Account Manager and branch leadership meetings.
  • Provide visibility into client concerns, property needs, proposal status, and unresolved issues.
  • Manage assigned responsibilities according to established deadlines and performance expectations.
How Success Will Be Measured

Performance in this position will be evaluated through measurable results, including:

  • Client retention and relationship quality
  • Completion and quality of required site audits
  • Response time and resolution of client concerns
  • Property appearance and service consistency
  • Proposal volume, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Closed enhancement sales
  • Quality and timeliness of CRM documentation
  • Communication and cooperation with Crew Leaders and branch leadership
  • Ability to resolve routine matters without unnecessary escalation
Required Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial landscaping, property management, construction, facilities services, or another field-based service industry
  • Demonstrated customer service, leadership, or account-management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple properties, priorities, and deadlines
  • Professional judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable using mobile applications, email, photographs, CRM platforms, and other business software
  • Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors throughout the year in North Texas conditions
  • Ability to walk commercial properties for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
