Job Description

Position Overview

DDC is seeking an Account Executive to join our PAC Engagement practice, working with leading corporations and organizations across industries to strengthen employee engagement, PAC participation, and fundraising.

We are looking for someone with approximately 3–5 years of professional experience who is ready to take meaningful ownership of client work while developing expertise in a highly specialized area of public affairs. Prior PAC or political fundraising experience is helpful, but it is not required. More important are strong judgment, excellent communication skills, confidence working with technology and digital tools, attention to detail, and the ability to connect strategy with execution.

This is not a traditional account management or communications role. It sits at the intersection of PAC strategy, communications, fundraising, client service, digital campaigns, and technology. Effective PAC engagement requires more than strong writing or flawless execution; it requires understanding how political and policy developments intersect with a company’s culture, employee audience, leadership priorities, compliance considerations, and broader reputation.

On any given day, you might help shape the strategy for an upcoming PAC campaign, draft or refine employee communications, lead a client call, analyze campaign performance, or work within DDC’s proprietary technology to bring a new initiative to life. You’ll work alongside experienced PAC strategists, communications professionals, engineers, data specialists, and compliance experts, gaining broad exposure to how sophisticated corporate PAC programs operate.

For someone who enjoys variety, this is a role where you don’t have to choose between being a writer, strategist, project manager, client advisor, or technically minded problem solver. You will use, and develop, all of those skills while working with an exceptional portfolio of PAC clients and gaining exposure to virtually every side of DDC’s business.

What You’ll Do

  • Own day-to-day execution across a portfolio of PAC Engagement clients, managing timelines, client requests, approvals, deliverables, and follow-through.
  • Build trusted client relationships by leading regular calls, providing clear recommendations and status updates, anticipating needs, and ensuring clients feel confident in the work moving forward.
  • Manage PAC engagement and fundraising campaigns from strategy through launch, including solicitation campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, digital communications, events, website updates, and other targeted outreach.
  • Draft, edit, and refine client communications, including email campaigns, solicitation messaging, website and landing-page copy, campaign materials, executive communications, and other content designed to increase awareness and participation.
  • Translate client goals into technology-enabled campaigns using DDC’s proprietary PAC platforms, websites, CRM, email tools, data, and reporting capabilities.
  • Coordinate across DDC teams, including PAC strategy, creative, technology, data, Customer Experience, compliance, contracts, and finance, to move client initiatives from idea to execution, configure campaigns and platform updates, troubleshoot issues, and ensure DDC’s technology supports the client’s broader engagement strategy.
  • Conduct quality assurance across digital campaigns, including emails, contribution flows, forms, links, landing pages, websites, data, and other campaign elements.
  • Analyze campaign performance and engagement data, helping turn results into practical recommendations for future communications, fundraising, audience targeting, and optimization.
  • Develop client-ready campaign recaps, reporting, presentations, content calendars, recommendations, and strategic materials.
  • Learn the nuances of each client’s PAC program, including its culture, audience, leadership approach, program maturity, approval processes, communications style, and risk considerations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Approximately 3–5 years of professional experience in client service, account management, communications, campaigns, fundraising, advocacy, public affairs, politics, associations, nonprofits, digital strategy, technology implementation, or a related field.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt messages for different audiences, objectives, and client voices.
  • Strong client-service instincts and the confidence to communicate directly with clients, lead conversations, manage expectations, and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to keep multiple clients, campaigns, deadlines, and internal teams moving at the same time.
  • Confidence working with technology and digital tools, along with the curiosity to understand how platforms, data, websites, email tools, and digital workflows can be used to solve client problems.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing communications, data, digital experiences, and campaign materials before they reach a client or audience.
  • Sound professional judgment, discretion, responsiveness, and the ability to recognize when an issue requires additional counsel.
  • An interest in politics, public affairs, employee engagement, communications, fundraising, or the role companies play in the political process.
  • An ability to learn quickly. We do not expect candidates to arrive knowing every aspect of PAC communications, fundraising, compliance, and technology; we do expect them to be excited to develop that expertise.

Prior PAC, political fundraising, advocacy, or employee communications experience is a plus, but not required.

What Success Looks Like

The strongest Account Executives at DDC are people who can see both the details and the bigger picture. They are organized enough to keep a complex campaign moving, curious enough to understand how the technology works, strong enough as writers to improve the message, and thoughtful enough to understand what a client is really trying to accomplish.

Over time, this person will take on increasing ownership of client relationships and strategic work, developing specialized expertise in PAC engagement while gaining broad exposure to DDC’s communications, technology, data, and public affairs capabilities.

For someone looking to build a career at the intersection of strategy, politics, communications, technology, and client leadership, this role offers an unusually broad foundation and significant room to grow.
