Setting: Patient-facing, safety-sensitive clinical role


A leading retail health clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support high-quality, evidence-based patient care. In this role, you’ll work as a key part of the clinical team—supporting assessments, treatments, documentation, and patient education in a fast-paced primary/urgent care environment.


Schedule / Critical Info

  • First 3 weeks of training/orientation (no days off are given during training)
  • Schedules are built in 6-week blocks after training
  • Shifts typically 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours
  • Typical week includes 2–3 weekdays + every other weekend
  • Must be able to work some major holidays


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer oral, injectable, IV, and topical medications
  • Perform routine and advanced patient assessments; monitor and document responses to treatment
  • Monitor vital signs and recognize/report abnormalities
  • Document patient history (illnesses, meds, allergies, surgeries, family history) in the EMR/EHR
  • Conduct medication reviews for side effects and interactions
  • Provide patient support/education (self-care techniques, disease management, community resources)
  • Support mental health screening (as applicable) and communicate effectively with patients/families
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment


Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in the state you will work
  • BLS certification (must remain valid at least 30+ days beyond start date)
  • 1+ year of related healthcare experience
  • Primary Care / Urgent Care / Emergency Room experience
    • Note: candidates whose experience is limited to LTC/SNF/LTAC/home health may have difficulty adapting—please do not apply if your background is only in those settings.
  • Experience with:
    • Phlebotomy
    • Vaccine administration
    • Point-of-care testing
  • Comfortable using EMR systems (Epic preferred)
  • Epic (or similar EMR) experience

  • This is a temporary/contract role. Conversion to a permanent employee may be possible but is not guaranteed.
  • Role is onsite and patient-facing.
