POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Professional serves as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders and plays a central role in Ravenna's goal of becoming the hospitality Employer of Choice in the South Denver metropolitan area. Reporting to the Controller, this onsite position supports the full employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding through development, performance, payroll, benefits, compliance and employee relations - while strengthening a workplace culture built on empowerment, open communication, respect and professional growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract highly qualified candidates aligned with Ravenna's goals, culture and commitment to exemplary service.

• Partner with department leaders on workforce planning and succession plans for key positions.

• Maintain consistent, equitable and well-documented selection and hiring practices.


Onboarding & Employee Experience

• Design and manage a consistent onboarding and orientation program that equips new employees to succeed in Ravenna's operations and culture.

• Serve as the primary contact for new hires and coordinate required paperwork, equipment, system access, orientation and training.

• Coordinate distribution and departmental review of Ravenna's Strategic Plan as part of the onboarding process.


Employee Relations, Engagement & Retention

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing prompt, fair and confidential guidance and resolution.

• Design and implement programs that strengthen employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.

• Promote open communication, mutual respect, strong interdepartmental relationships and the philosophy of "Unreasonable Hospitality."


Learning, Development & Performance

• Oversee training, cross-training and development programs that support skill growth, career advancement and operational versatility.

• Manage the performance review process, establish clear benchmarks and guide managers in fostering productivity, accountability and professional growth.

• Help align individual performance expectations with departmental goals and Ravenna's strategic priorities.


Compliance, Policy & Records Management

• Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment laws, industry regulations and Club policies.

• Maintain and update HR procedures, policies and the Employee Handbook in a timely manner.

• Maintain complete, accurate, confidential and organized employee records, including job descriptions, performance reviews, disciplinary actions and terminations, training records and payroll information.

• Serve as Ravenna's Equal Employment Opportunity resource and support required notices, filings and recordkeeping.


Payroll Administration

• Coordinate with Ravenna's payroll processing vendor to complete accurate semi-monthly payroll, including wages, tips, commissions and deductions.

• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure timely updates within the payroll platform.

• Investigate payroll data, resolve discrepancies and collaborate with the payroll vendor to implement solutions.

• Support compliance with applicable payroll, tax and labor requirements and Club policies.


Benefits Administration

• Manage and evaluate Ravenna's benefits program in partnership with the Club's benefits broker.

• Maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers, brokers and service providers to support high-quality employee benefits and service.

• Plan and administer annual open enrollment, including employee communications, enrollment support and required documentation.

• Help ensure benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations.


Workers' Compensation & Leave Administration

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Workers' Compensation claims and employee leave programs, including FMLA and other applicable leaves.

• Manage documentation, track status and maintain timely communication with employees, managers and third-party administrators.

• Coordinate required notices, filings and recordkeeping in accordance with applicable laws and Club policies.

• Support return-to-work and leave transitions, including modified duty coordination and fitness-for-duty clearances.


HR Reporting, Analytics & Strategic Support

• Analyze workforce data to identify trends, address gaps and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives.

• Create clear HR reports and dashboards for Ownership and Management that provide actionable insight for strategic decision-making.

• Monitor recruiting, onboarding, training, performance and retention metrics to support Ravenna's goal of becoming an Employer of Choice.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

• Three to five years of progressive human resources experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of employment and labor laws and HR best practices.

• Experience supporting payroll, benefits, employee relations, leave administration and compliance.

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, judgment and conflict-resolution skills.

• Excellent organization, follow-through and attention to detail.

• A high level of integrity, professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.

• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

• Experience in hospitality, private clubs or another service-driven environment preferred; bilingual proficiency is a plus.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Annual salary range of $75,000-$90,000, based on experience and paid semi-monthly.

• Eligibility for Ravenna's annual bonus program after one year of employment.
