Sports Coordinator

Position Summary

The i9 Sports Coordinator is responsible for helping create a fun, safe, organized, and positive sports experience for children and their families. This position plays a key role in the successful operation of i9 Sports programs by supporting coaches, communicating with families, managing game-day activities, and ensuring that each program runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, organized, comfortable working with children and families, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program Operations

%CF; Help set up, operate, and break down i9 Sports programs and events.

%CF; Ensure games and activities start and finish on schedule.

%CF; Assist with field/court assignments, equipment, schedules, and game-day logistics.

%CF; Make sure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for participants.

%CF; Help resolve scheduling or operational issues quickly and professionally.

%CF; Follow all i9 Sports safety policies and operating procedures.

Customer Service

%CF; Provide a welcoming and positive experience for players and families.

%CF; Greet families and answer questions about schedules, games, coaches, and programs.

%CF; Communicate important program information to parents and participants.

%CF; Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

%CF; Help create an environment where every child feels included and encouraged.

Coach & Staff Support

%CF; Assist coaches with equipment, schedules, rosters, and program needs.

%CF; Check in with coaches and help ensure they have what they need to be successful.

%CF; Help monitor coach performance and report concerns to management.

%CF; Assist with onboarding and supporting new coaches and volunteers.

Game-Day Responsibilities

%CF; Arrive on time and prepared for each assigned program.

%CF; Set up equipment, signage, fields, courts, and check-in areas.

%CF; Manage player check-in and assist families with questions.

%CF; Help keep games moving according to schedule.

%CF; Monitor the overall program experience and step in when assistance is needed.

%CF; Assist with equipment collection and facility cleanup after the program.

Administrative & Sales Support

%CF; Assist with registration and participant check-in.

%CF; Maintain accurate rosters and program information.

%CF; Communicate updates and important information to the Franchise Manager.

Qualifications

%CF; Previous experience working with children, sports, recreation, customer service, or youth programs preferred.

%CF; Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

%CF; Dependable and punctual.

%CF; Comfortable speaking with parents, children, coaches, and staff.

%CF; Able to work independently and as part of a team.

%CF; Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

%CF; Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic personality.

%CF; Comfortable working outdoors and being physically active.

%CF; Must be able to lift and carry sports equipment and supplies.

%CF; Must pass any required background screening.

Schedule

This is primarily a part-time, program-based position. Work schedules may include:

%CF; Saturdays and/or Sundays

%CF; Seasonal leagues

%CF; Camps, clinics, and special events

Schedule may vary depending on program needs.
