We are looking for an experienced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Specialist to support an in-service aerospace team in Tukwila, WA. This is a senior-level role focused on developing NDT procedures and supporting inspection methods for aircraft and aerospace components.


Responsibilities

  • Author and update Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection procedures.
  • Incorporate revisions from Responsible Level III personnel into standard procedures.
  • Develop CAD drawings for specialized NDT calibration standards.
  • Set up NDT and measurement equipment using appropriate calibration standards.
  • Create procedure figures showing inspection locations, component geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response.
  • Review inspection results and report potential adverse trends or unusual findings.
  • Support the development and improvement of UT and Eddy Current inspection techniques.

Required Qualifications

  • 20+ years of NDT/NDI experience, preferably in aerospace.
  • 20+ years of aerospace in-service support experience involving Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and/or Eddy Current Testing (ET).
  • Experience writing UT and ET inspection techniques and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends when needed.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 25+ years of related NDT/NDI experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 800+ hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  • 300+ hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing.
  • 800+ hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET).
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Aerospace aircraft inspection or in-service maintenance experience.
  • NDT Level II or Level III certification is a plus.
