Key Responsibilities

CNC Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC mills, lathes, and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, spindle, servo, drive, turret, alignment, and calibration issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize machine uptime, reliability, and production efficiency.
  • Assist with machine installations, relocations, rebuilds, and upgrades.

Facility & Equipment Support

  • Maintain and repair facility systems, including electrical controls, motor starters, panel wiring, plumbing, compressed air systems, pumps, conveyors, cranes, and material handling equipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts to support maintenance and equipment moves.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through equipment optimization and process enhancements.

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate recurring equipment failures and identify root causes.
  • Implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and fall protection requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5 to 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or machine shop environment.
  • Strong experience maintaining and repairing CNC mills and lathes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance needs when required.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Mitsubishi, Mori Seiki, Okuma, or similar CNC equipment.
  • Technical certification or Associate Degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Forklift and aerial lift certifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights using aerial lifts and platforms.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
