Associate Attorney

Wood, Boykin & Wolter, P.C. is seeking a Texas-licensed attorney to join our Corpus Christi office as a full-time associate attorney. This is an entry-level position and an excellent opportunity for a new or recently licensed attorney interested in developing a broad-based legal practice and gaining meaningful, hands-on experience. Prior legal experience is a plus but is not required.

Wood, Boykin & Wolter is an established Corpus Christi law firm representing businesses, governmental entities, financial institutions, and individuals in a wide variety of legal matters. Our practice includes real estate, banking and lending, business and commercial transactions, litigation, probate and estate planning, governmental law, bankruptcy, and employment matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with experienced attorneys and clients and to participate in a diverse range of both transactional and litigation matters. We are looking for someone who is motivated to learn, possesses strong analytical and writing skills, exercises sound judgment, and is interested in building a long-term legal practice in Corpus Christi.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing, or awaiting results of the Texas Bar Examination with an expectation of becoming licensed
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Interest in developing a broad civil practice and becoming part of the Corpus Christi legal and business community

This is a full-time, in-office position in Corpus Christi, Texas. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
