Electrical Project Manager - High-End Residential - New York, NY

A well-established New York City electrical contractor specializing in high-end residential work. The firm works directly with homeowners, architects and designers on luxury residences across the city. This role owns those projects from start to finish and carries responsibility for schedule, budget and quality, with roughly 60 to 70 percent of the week based in the office and the balance on active job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Run high-end residential electrical projects from award through closeout.

• Develop project scopes, schedules and budgets and manage the work against them.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, designers and internal teams.

• Procure materials and equipment and confirm deliveries meet specification and schedule.

• Direct field personnel, subcontractors and vendors on quality of workmanship and safety.

• Walk the site regularly to verify progress, workmanship and safe conditions.

• Resolve field issues quickly so the schedule holds.

• Maintain project documentation including change orders, RFIs and progress reports.

• Verify all installed work meets local electrical code and company standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record managing high-end residential electrical projects through completion.

• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, riser diagrams, schematics and technical drawings.

• Working knowledge of local electrical codes and safety regulations.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

• Clear communication with clients, design teams and field personnel.

• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office.

• Electrical license preferred, though substantial field experience will be considered in its place.

Compensation is competitive, and after three months of full-time employment the benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, ten paid holidays, ten PTO days accrued annually, a pre-tax TransitChek program covering MTA, LIRR, Metro North, NJ Transit and eligible parking, a 401k with a company match of 50% of the first 5% contributed, and company-paid life and long-term disability insurance.
