Residential Leasing Agent
Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Leasing Agent to join our property managementteam in Vancouver, Washington.
This position works with multiple residential properties throughout the Vancouver area and plays animportant role in helping prospective residents find their new home. You will handle the leasing processfrom the initial inquiry through move-in while also assisting with resident communication and generalproperty operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with leasing or property management experience who enjoysworking with people, staying organized, and having variety in their workday.
What You'll Do
Respond to phone, email, online, and in-person inquiries from prospective residents
Schedule and conduct apartment tours at multiple properties
Provide information regarding available units, rental rates, deposits, lease terms, utilities, andproperty amenities
Follow up with prospective residents and help guide them through the application process
Process rental applications and required documentation
Prepare leases, addenda, and move-in paperwork
Coordinate lease signings, deposits, keys, and move-ins
Assist with move-out coordination
Create and maintain online rental advertisements
Keep rental listings, pricing, photos, and availability information current
Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming vacancies
Communicate with maintenance and management regarding unit readiness
Assist current residents with routine questions and requests
Assist with lease renewals, resident notices, and correspondence
Visit properties regularly and report maintenance, cleanliness, safety, or appearance concerns
Maintain accurate applicant and resident records
Update information in property management software
Assist the Property Manager with additional property-related duties as needed
What We're Looking For
Previous leasing or property management experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple properties, appointments, and deadlines
Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
AppFolio or similar property management software experience is a plus
Knowledge of Fair Housing and Washington landlord-tenant requirements is a plus
Dependable, punctual, and able to take initiative
Requirements
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Ability to travel between properties throughout the Vancouver area
Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, and access apartment units for tours and inspections
Professional and courteous communication with residents, applicants, vendors, and coworkers
Compensation & Benefits
$21.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
$200 monthly gas allowance
Medical benefits offered after 60 days of employment
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
