Job Title: Cognision Technician
Location: Denver, CO
Employment Type: Part-time
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Cognision Technician to join our healthcare team. The Cognision Technician will be responsible for administering Cognision neurophysiological tests to evaluate cognitive and auditory function in patients. This role involves preparing patients for testing, ensuring accurate data collection, maintaining equipment, and supporting clinicians in interpreting results.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Cognision EEG and ERP (Event-Related Potential) testing according to established protocols
- Prepare and position patients comfortably for the test
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain Cognision equipment and software
- Ensure accurate and secure collection of patient data
- Review data for quality and completeness before submission
- Maintain detailed and organized patient records
- Follow all HIPAA and infection control guidelines
- Coordinate with clinicians, nurses, and office staff to schedule and document testing
- Provide excellent patient care and communication throughout the procedure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred
- No prior experience in EEG neurogdiagnostic is required but, having experience would be a bonus. Medical background preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
- Basic computer literacy and comfort working with medical software
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling electrodes and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
