PUMP/MOTOR MECHANIC (LIC, Queens, NY)

Starting Pay: $20.00-$35.00/hr.


JOB DUTIES:

• Assemble and install pumps, motors, piping, and related equipment.

• Align pumps and motors to ensure proper operation and reduce wear.

• Connect pumps to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Replace seals, gaskets, bearings, impellers, and other components.

• Inspect vibration, pressure, temperature, and flow rates.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, including leaks, pressure loss, excessive vibration, motor failures, and cavitation.

• Disassemble pumps to identify and repair damaged components.

• Perform maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, fans, and controls.


REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years of pump and motor troubleshooting or repair experience.

• Plumbing and electrical knowledge.

• Basic controls knowledge, including control panels, VFDs, PLCs, and relays.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High School Diploma preferred.

• 3 years of mechanical experience highly preferred.

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, lift equipment and parts, and work in confined spaces or outdoors.



CONTROL TECHNICIAN (LIC, Queens, NY)

Starting Pay: $20.00-$30.00/hr.


JOB DUTIES:

• Install control panels, PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and instrumentation.

• Run and terminate wiring.

• Configure automation equipment and control software.

• Assist with startup and commissioning of equipment.

• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, control panels, and communication networks.

• Calibrate measuring devices.

• Inspect and maintain HVAC systems, industrial machinery, conveyors, pumps, and control systems.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on motors, pumps, fans, and electrical controls.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1 year of electric motor mechanical experience.

• Minimum 2 years of motor controls experience.

• Knowledge of motor controls and electrical wiring.

• Basic controls knowledge, including magnetic starters, VFDs, and PLCs.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
