Roofing Laborer/Technician

Duties

• Assist with the installation and repair of roofing systems, including residential and commercial roofing.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials according to project specifications.
• Set up ladders securely and operate scaffolding equipment following safety regulations.
• Follow all construction safety harness protocols and adhere to workplace safety regulations at all times.
• Support with siding installation, gutter work, and other exterior building tasks as needed.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining proper form to prevent injury.

Skills

• Construction estimating experience is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment required for roofing and siding work.
• Knowledge of construction safety harnesses, ladder use, and adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
• Experience with roofing repair, shingle roofing installation, single-ply membrane roofing, and roof restoration techniques.
• Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
• Familiarity with other construction trades such as framing carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, tile laying, plumbing, welding, masonry, remodeling, or handyman tasks is advantageous.
