Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage vehicle traffic and coordinate shipping and receiving activities at a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of logistics, transportation, warehouse, or shipping/receiving experience with strong communication, organization, and safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate inbound and outbound truck traffic in the shipping and receiving area.
• Manage the safe and efficient movement of vehicles to prevent congestion and delays.
• Coordinate with plant personnel regarding shipment arrivals, departures, and loading/unloading activities.
• Monitor the shipping/receiving area for safety hazards and ensure established safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation companies, drivers, and personnel entering and leaving the facility.
• Perform data entry and maintain transportation and shipment logs.
• Communicate shipment updates and changes clearly to internal teams.
• Support daily logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
• Work independently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping/receiving, or warehouse coordination.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
• Strong safety awareness.

Working Conditions

• Combination of outdoor and warehouse work.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Light physical activity may be required.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when shipping schedules require.
