Packaging Maintenance Technician

Full-Time | $20–$26/hour, depending on experience

About the Role

Craft Brew Inc. is seeking a hands-on Packaging Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our beverage packaging operations. This position will work directly with our packaging team to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, takes pride in preventative maintenance, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment and supporting systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and make timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Support setup, changeovers, adjustments, and optimization of packaging equipment.
  • Maintain and repair conveyors, fillers, seamers, labelers, packers, palletizers, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
  • Assist with PLC and controls troubleshooting, particularly Siemens-based systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Work with production personnel to identify recurring equipment issues and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area.
  • Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and quality procedures.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and production-line improvements.
  • Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
  • Participate in continuous-improvement projects focused on uptime, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance, packaging maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, VFDs, and control systems.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred; Siemens experience is a strong plus.
  • Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Beverage, food, brewery, bottling, canning, or other high-speed packaging experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs in a production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.

Schedule

  • Full-time
