Quality Technician
The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring that materials, components, and finished products meet all dimensional, visual, and functional requirements before they move through production and ship to customers. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspection of incoming materials and components prior to receipt into the system to ensure they meet specified requirements.
- Verify compliance of parts and assemblies to engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase requirements.
- Identify, document, label, and segregate nonconforming materials and initiate appropriate disposition actions.
- Perform in-process inspections during manufacturing to verify ongoing product conformance.
- Support first-piece and in-process verification activities to validate initial production runs.
- Perform final inspections on finished products, including comprehensive First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Ensure completion, accuracy, and traceability of all inspection documentation and quality records.
- Set up and operate precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs, and optical inspection tools.
- Collect, record, and analyze quality data related to defects, scrap, rework, and performance trends.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of previous experience directly in a Quality Control position
- Able to use and set up CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics
Pay:
- This is a 1st shift salaried position ($50,000 minimum)
- If OT is worked, it will be paid at an additional hourly rate!
This is a Permanent position based out of Erie, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Well orgnazied; participative management; full benefit package (Full medical coverage - no paid out of pocket) Candidates can earn up to 12.5% Profit-Sharing bonus each year!! EOE
