This contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, through June 9, 2027, and involves a focused, bi-weekly schedule—perfect for integrating with other commitments or part-time work. The assignment centers on delivering high-quality PT interventions aligned with a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Ideal qualifications include:
- Current Washington state professional license in Physical Therapy
- ESA Certification for school-based practice in Washington
- Experience delivering physical therapy services in a school environment is preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Compassionate approach tailored to pediatric populations
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to document services and progress accurately and efficiently
Key responsibilities you’ll undertake:
- Provide 30-minute physical therapy sessions twice a month, as outlined in the student’s IEP
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education staff to ensure coordinated care
- Document progress, treatment strategies, and service delivery per district and state guidelines
- Adjust plans as needed to help students achieve their goals and maximize access to their educational environment
- Attend IEP meetings (virtually or in-person, as needed) to contribute professional input
- Maintain compliance with all relevant state regulations and professional standards
