Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembly Associate to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing basic mechanical assembly, component labeling, inspection, and reporting activities in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing repetitive assembly tasks, following detailed instructions, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.
This role works under direct supervision and is an excellent opportunity for individuals with assembly, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience looking to grow within a stable organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly Operations
- Perform basic mechanical assembly of components, assemblies, and subassemblies according to established procedures.
- Follow detailed verbal and written work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient assembly.
- Assemble inserted components using visual aids, diagrams, and specifications.
- Complete repetitive assembly tasks while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Verify component specifications before and during assembly processes.
- Apply labels to components, assemblies, and subassemblies according to company standards.
- Ensure labels are correctly positioned, legible, and meet production requirements.
- Utilize visual aids and instructions to maintain labeling accuracy.
- Inspect parts, components, and finished assemblies for defects, damage, or errors.
- Confirm assembled products meet quality specifications and standards.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or assembly issues to supervisors.
- Rework or correct assembly issues when directed.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Use scanners and tracking equipment to support assembly and inventory processes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Follow all operating procedures when using assembly equipment.
- Accurately document completed work, quantities produced, and assembly status.
- Record production data using scanners or reporting systems.
- Communicate production issues, shortages, or delays to management.
- Maintain accurate records of daily production activities.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company security policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety training and follow established protocols.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors, Line Leads, and Management.
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned.
- Support team goals and departmental production targets.
- Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
Required QualificationsEducation
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with assembly line environments is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and assembly skills.
- Experience operating scanners and basic manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to perform quality checks and identify defects.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
