We are seeking a Composite Assembly Technician to join a hands-on manufacturing team. This role focuses on the assembly, drilling, finishing, and installation of composite and metal components using detailed manufacturing drawings, work instructions, fixtures, and tooling.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and able to follow precise instructions in a manufacturing environment.

  • Monday through Friday 8a-5p

  • $20-22/hr - weekly pay

  • Through the End of the Year with possible extension or hire

What You'll Do
  • Assemble composite and electromechanical materials using complex fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions.

  • Use basic measuring devices, including calipers and scales, to verify dimensions and accuracy.

  • Drill composite materials to close tolerances using carbide drill bits, air hand drills, drill presses, and large drill fixtures.

  • Drill aluminum plates and countersink holes for various rivet sizes.

  • Sand and finish composite materials to meet quality and appearance requirements in a ventilated grinding area while following required PPE procedures.

  • Install nut plate hardware using Cherry rivets and handheld riveting tools.

  • Mix and apply a variety of chemical adhesives according to established procedures.

  • Install manufactured harnesses and crimp lug nuts.

  • Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, drill, sand, and finish materials.

  • Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.

  • Follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and safety requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Use a scanner for timekeeping, attendance, and work traveler documentation.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work instructions, quality, and production needs.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • One or more years of related manufacturing, assembly, composite, mechanical, or technical experience preferred; equivalent education and training may be considered.

  • Previous experience working with composite materials and/or electromechanical assemblies is a plus.

  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, blueprints, schematics, and written work instructions in English.

  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.

  • Experience with drills, drill presses, riveters, measuring tools, or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

  • Basic math skills, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to follow standardized procedures.

  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly use hands and arms for handling, assembling, drilling, sanding, and finishing materials.

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to reach, handle, grip, and manipulate tools and components.

  • Ability to work in a ventilated grinding/sanding environment while wearing required respiratory and personal protective equipment.

  • Ability to perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.



Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
