Job Description
Step into a pivotal role supporting students' growth and independence as a part-time Occupational Therapist with a dynamic school community. This contract position runs from August 27, 2026 through June 2027, providing an opportunity to make a lasting impact over the course of the upcoming school year. The assignment involves working in-person with students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, with a preferred schedule of Wednesdays and a half day on Tuesdays (with flexibility as needed).
Key Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting highly preferred
- Proficient communication skills and strength in evaluation and documentation
- Prior supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across multiple grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and direction for the district's COTA
- Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
- Complete progress reports and maintain all required documentation
- Deliver a limited amount of direct services to students as identified by evaluations or IEPs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers to enhance student support
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and team discussions to coordinate student care
- Adapt services to meet a diverse range of student needs across age groups
